Carrie Underwood sings "Waiting All Day for Sunday Night," the theme song for "NBC Sunday Night Football," as of 2015. Pink was the first singer of the theme song in 2006, while Faith Hill sang it from 2007 to 2012. Underwood took over in 2013.

The theme song reworks Joan Jett's song "I Hate Myself For Loving You." The song occasionally has slight lyrical changes, either for one week or the entire season.

Each "NBC Sunday Night Football" broadcast features an opening montage with the singer performing. The singer also performs a similar theme song on NBC's other NFL broadcasts, such as the opening night game and the Super Bowl.
