The Bohr radius is the measurement of the distance between the proton and the electron in a hydrogen atom. This distance is measured when the hydrogen atom is in a ground state.

The Bohr radius is an approximate measurement and is used in theoretical physics. It is named after physicist Niels Bohr, who created a model for the shape of atoms in 1913. Bohr's model is no longer in use, but the Bohr radius is used as a constant in many physics equations.

The ground state of an atom is the state of lowest energy for that atom. This state of lowest energy is called Zero Point energy.
