Are BrainPOP Jr. movies a good teaching tool?

BrainPOP Jr. movies are aligned to the Common Core State Standards for students in kindergarten through third grade. Educational videos include three to five-minute lessons on science, math, reading, social studies and art, in addition to technology and health.

BrainPOP Jr. videos have large and colorful replay, pause, rewind and fast forward buttons to help children navigate each topic. Featured in each video, Annie and her robot friend Moby work together to solve problems written in Annie's notebook, such as "Who was Dr. Seuss?" Quizzes, writing prompts and games follow each video lesson to ensure comprehension and mastery of the topic presented.
