Fox terrier is the breed of Nipper, the famed RCA canine logo. The picture of Nipper used by RCA and other gramophone recording companies is from a portrait titled "His Masters Voice."
Nipper lived between 1884 and 1895 and belonged to theatrical scene designer Mark Henry Barraud. Nipper only lived with his owner for three years, as Barraud died in 1887. After the death of Barraud, Nipper was cared for by Barraud's brothers, Francis and Philip. After Nipper passed away, he was buried in a small Clarence Street park in Kingston Upon Thames in southwest London. A bank now sits atop the ground where Nipper was buried; however, a plaque hangs in the entrance in remembrance of Nipper.
