Brian Williams' wife is Jane Williams, neé Stoddard, whom he married on June 7, 1986. At the time of their marriage, Jane Williams was a freelance television producer.

Today she is the host of Bloomberg EDU, a radio show that covers education news and policy. She is also the board chair of Horizons National, a non-profit educational organization.

The couple were married in New Canaan, Connecticut, where they currently reside. They have two children: a son and a daughter. Their daughter Allison is an actress who stars in the HBO television program "Girls," while their son is a 2013 graduate of Elon University in North Carolina.
