The Budwig Protocol is a dietary program that claims to prevent and cure cancer. The regimen consists of daily consumption of a mixture containing flaxseed oil and cottage cheese. It also emphasizes a natural diet.
To make the mixture, grind 1 tablespoon of flaxseed in a coffee grinder to make fresh oil, mix in 4 tablespoons of organic low-fat cottage cheese, and blend the ingredients in an immersion blender. Add fruits and spices to taste, and eat within 15 minutes.
The aim of the Budwig Diet is to convert omega-3 acids in flaxseed, making it easier for the body to absorb. The Budwig Diet encourages the patient to eat fresh produce in its most natural state and advises against eating processed foods.
