How do you build an electric oven?

Building an electric oven is a fairly complex task involving strip heaters, woodcutting, a brass 140 tube and a number of other components. Once completed, the oven is capable of generating internal temperatures up to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.

Electric ovens should be assembled in a workshop. The controlled space makes the building process safer.

1. Assemble equipment

Gather everything together and lay it out within easy reach. The plans on the Vintage Projects website list all needed items.

2. Cut wood and pipe

Saw and cut the wood and pipe. This requires the use of a table saw and a hacksaw.

3. Introduce electrical elements

Install the heating elements, taking care to avoid injury.
