A butler's pantry is a small area of a kitchen, hidden away from the main part of the room, that allows cooks to prepare food and clean up without dirtying the rest of the kitchen. The butler's pantry often has room to store utensils and crockery as well.

They may contain shelves and cupboards for storage and ample counter space to make food preparation easier. They differ from regular pantries in that food is generally not stored in them.
