Who are some butter manufacturers?

In the United States large butter manufacturers include Challenge Dairy, Tillamook Creamery, Darigold Creamery and Lucerne Foods. These manufactures produce butter that is commercially available in grocery stores across the US, including Kroger, Safeway, Albertson's and Wal-Mart. Each has regional manufacturing centers across the country in which butter is produced.

The U.S. Federal Department of Agriculture also maintains a list of dairies that export to countries around the world, including those that produce butter. Companies manufacturing and exporting butter include Pacific Cheese Company, Michigan Milk Producers Association and Land O' Lakes Inc. Commercially produced butter is available both as sweet cream and unsalted.
