What are cabinet fittings?

Cabinet fittings are the interior and exterior parts that attach cabinets to hardware and allow for opening and closing of cabinets and drawers. Exterior cabinet fittings can be plain silver, brass, gold or stainless steel or they may be decorative.

Cabinet fittings include the latches and handles of kitchen, bathroom and closet doors and drawers. The interior fittings, which are commonly the same color as the exterior, are attached using bolts and screws to enable doors to swing open or swivel. Cabinet fittings are manufactured in a variety of sizes to fit various kitchen and bathroom designs and to meet customer preferences.
