Can you activate a fitness club membership online?

Some national gym chains and other fitness club franchises allow people to activate trial memberships or reactivate previous memberships online. Typically, this service requires a full legal name, address and an online form of payment to complete the activation.

Gyms such as Planet Fitness, 24 Hour Fitness and Anytime Fitness offer trial memberships for new members. These memberships are available online and may require a small fee. Following the trial membership, which may be between 3 to 7 days, a regular membership activation required. This means the member must fill out paperwork and give billing information to the gym for a monthly or yearly membership package.
