As of October 2015, unused box packs of Adobe Creative Suite 6 are available for less than $800 from Last Chance Buys. The price is unlikely to decrease much, because the product is becoming difficult to find due to Adobe's decision to discontinue software releases of Creative Suite.

Instead of occasional updates in the software, Adobe has moved to offering a monthly subscription for online access to the tools that were in the Creative Suite. Cnet.com reports that the monthly online subscription to Adobe Creative Cloud,is overwhelmingly preferred by customers. Further, Cnet.com describes the subscription price of $50 per month as not very greedy.
