How can the appearance of the mouse cursor be changed?

To change the appearance of a mouse cursor in Windows XP, the user opens the Control Panel, selects Mouse, and then clicks the Pointers tab on the Mouse Properties Window. To change all pointers at once, he selects a new scheme under Scheme.

To change one pointer, the user selects it from the Customize list. He then clicks the Browse button, and double clicks on the specific pointer to use.
