To change the appearance of a mouse cursor in Windows XP, the user opens the Control Panel, selects Mouse, and then clicks the Pointers tab on the Mouse Properties Window. To change all pointers at once, he selects a new scheme under Scheme.
To change one pointer, the user selects it from the Customize list. He then clicks the Browse button, and double clicks on the specific pointer to use. In Windows 7 or 8, the user types “Personalize†into the search box on the Start Menu, selects Personalize or Settings, and then selects Change Mouse Pointers on the left-hand side of the Personalization window to view the available mouse cursors.
