Max Factor cosmetics are not available in outlet stores and are discontinued in the United States due to weak sales. Max Factor products have not been marketed in the U.S. since 2010, although some websites like Amazon and Overstock may carry additional Max Factor stock. The company continues doing business in other countries, notes its website.

Max Factor cosmetics was founded in 1909 by cosmetician Maksymilian Faktorowicz and was purchased by the Proctor & Gamble Company in 1991. Although the company phased out the Max Factor line of products in the U.S., it continues distribution of cosmetics under the Cover Girl brand as of 2015.
