Can employers look at your student report cards online?

All student information is protected under U.S. Federal Law by The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act, so employers can't access report cards online. Under The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act, all student records are considered confidential, and only a student or a parent can request them.
The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act also states that once a student reaches the age of 18, that student's parents are no longer granted access to records without the student giving consent. Because of this law, the only people who can have access to a student's records are the ones that student gives permission to.
