Bob Ross was an American landscape painter who became famous teaching painting techniques on a PBS program called "The Joy of Painting." The remarkable "wet on wet" technique he used allowed him to complete a painting in as little as thirty minutes, Equally famous was his mild demeanor. "The Joy of Painting" remained on the air for eleven seasons, at which time Ross was diagnosed with lymphoma and left the show to concentrate on his health. Bob Ross died in 1994.
