Fill in the blanks stories are word games designed to help children master their understanding of basic grammar and develop language skills. Many stories are less than a page long and ask the player to fill in blanks with random words to complete the story.

Education Place and National Geographic offer fill in the blanks that players can complete online. Education.com offers downloadable sheets that players can print out and fill in with pencil. The site does require users to create an account before the games can be downloaded.
