It is possible to transfer money online using Green Dot's services, explains Green Dot Corporation. To transfer money to another individual, enter the recipient's name, email address and phone number. Then, indicate the amount you wish to send.

Once you send the money, Green Dot deducts that amount from your Green Dot card and notifies the recipient, according to Green Dot Corporation. The recipient then has 10 days to pick up his money by following the instructions. It is only possible to transfer money to U.S. residents, and there is a $1,000 per day and $2,500 per 30 days limit on transfers.
