Where can you find information on Medicare benefits for veterans?

The Medicare Rights Center has a website called MedicareInteractive.org that covers Medicare benefits for veterans. A veteran can have both Medicare and Veterans Affairs benefits, but the two do not work together. For Medicare to cover a veteran's care, it must be received at a Medicare-certified facility.
Depending on the situation, a veteran can use either Medicare Part B or Part D to supplement VA care or drug prescriptions. There may be penalties if it is not done properly. The Veterans Affairs Health Administration Center can answer additional questions about VA benefits and coverage by phone at 1-800-733-8387 or 1-877-222-8387.
