Job discrimination statistics are found on the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission website. The Office of Research, Information and Planning compiles the data and breaks it down by the type of discrimination and the fiscal year. As of 2015, 10 types of discrimination are reportable.

The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, which enforces federal discrimination laws, has the authority to investigate any discrimination charges against an employer covered by the law. Discrimination laws govern employment agencies, labor unions and most employers with 15 employees. Anti-discrimination laws apply in all areas of employment including but not limited to harassment, hiring, firing, promotions and wages.
