People can take locksmith training courses at Ashworth College. Ashworth College provides a program to learn and master both manual and electric locks for residences, businesses and vehicles.

After a student completes the Ashworth College Locksmith program, they have the option to take the Associated Locksmiths of America test. This is an examination that is offered at the completion of the course. Students in the program are able to build their classes around their schedules, which creates the opportunity to graduate within four months. Lessons are delivered via the Internet and custom lesson guides. There are no prerequisites to enroll in the program.
