The United States District Court for the District of Columbia is no longer providing copies of the black farmer's application or accepting new applications, according to BlackFarmerCase.com. The time period for filing claims ended on May 11, 2012. The court has mailed payments for successful claims.
On Aug. 23, 2013, the court approved a $1,200,425,182.08 distribution to the plaintiffs in the racial discrimination cases known as Pigford II, or the Black Farmers Case. The claims administrator's preliminary final accounting of Aug. 15, 2013 sets out the distribution terms. According to the case settlement terms, reviews or appeals of the decisions are not available. Individuals who need help or have questions may call 877-810-8110 as of July 2015, notes BlackFarmerCase.com.
