How can you get plans to build a wren house?

BirdWatching-Bliss offers a complete layout plan for building a wren bird house that is provided by the Natural Resources Conservation Service. There is also a more detailed version provided by the Minnesota Division of Natural Resources that can be printed for ease of use.
The entrance hole used is 1 1/8 inches wide for house, winter and Bewick's wrens. Carolina wrens require a hole size of 1 1/4 inches. A perch is not recommended, because it allows other types of birds to land and enter the house. A wren house must be placed where snakes, cats or raccoons cannot reach the birds. The wren house is typically placed at least 5 feet above the ground, either on a building or hanging freely from a wire.
