Can I refuse USPS mail?
By Forinfos - 11/09/2025 - 0 comments
It is possible to refuse mail delivered through the United States Postal Service. The refusal may be possible even after the letter or package has been delivered. Certain items, such as certified letters, are not eligible for refusal.
Refusing mail before it is delivered is as simple as telling a mail carrier to return the letter to the original sender. If the letter has already been delivered, the recipient can write refused on the package or letter and return it through a mailbox.
Registered mail, certified mail, signature-required mail, collect-on-delivery packages and return receipt merchandise are not eligible for refusal.
