A leaky faucet can also be fixed without the assistance of a plumber through installation of a new diverter and o-rings. Basket strainers can also be replaced without the aid of a professional. Replacing a basket strainer requires tools to dissemble and reassemble the basket, as well as plumber's putty or non-water-based silicone to attach the new strainer.
