MoneyGram does have the ability to transfer funds through PayPal. Once the sender verifies the PayPal account is active, she needs to provide the recipient's name, contact information, identification and the last four digits of his Social Security Number.

While the ability to transfer money through PayPal is only available in the United States as of 2014, PayPal and MoneyGram plan to include other countries soon. Mobile devices provide users the opportunity to find a physical MoneyGram location to add cash to someone else's PayPal account. MoneyGram limits the amount of transfer to $500 per month.
