To time hours, minutes or seconds, type the amount of time into an online countdown timer, such as the ones offered on Online-Stopwatch.com and Google.com. Create a countdown to a specific time and date by typing the information into TimeAndDate.com to create a temporary webpage with a countdown timer.

The shorter timers available at Online-Stopwatch.com and Google.com play an alert sound at the end of the time, but only if the user leaves the website open on the device for the duration of the countdown. The TimeAndDate.com timer does not alert the user when the countdown finishes, but the timer continues even when the temporary webpage is not open.
