GunShots explains how to construct a silencer for most guns out of polyvinvyl chloride pipe, rubber, wood and various parts that can be purchased at any hardware store. usCrow describes how to quickly make a silencer out of a flashlight, PVC pipe, duct tape and some fabric.

usCrow also has more elaborate plans for a better silencer made out of a drill rod and fiberglass. GunShots warns that silencers are illegal in some areas and to check the local laws before constructing one. GunShots also warns that attaching a silencer to a gun will affect the trajectory and speed of the fired bullet.
