As of 2015, people are not allowed to smoke inside any of the Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport's terminal buildings. Smokers are allowed to smoke in specified smoking shelter areas on the airport's ticketing level, the parking ramps or on any curb located 30 feet from a door.

There are two terminals that make up the MSP airport, which are Terminal 1-Lindbergh and Terminal-2 Humphrey. In addition to civilian flights, the airport is also used in part by the United States military. The airport is stated to be one of the busiest airports in the upper Midwest region of the United States.
