Can Southwest flights be tracked online?

The Southwest website allows a visitor to enter his flight number and get the current status of the flight. There are also websites such as FlightAware that provide live, up-to-date alerts about a flight.

To view the flight status on the Southwest website, go to their Check Flight Status page. Enter the required information, such as the flight number, travel date and the destination and arrival locations. It gives the current status of that flight.

Get more updated results by using FlightAware. The results are live for all flights. To use this service, first select Southwest as the airline, and then click on the appropriate flight number. It gives information about where the airplane is and when it is expected to arrive.
