When can you start feeding an infant solid foods?
By Forinfos - 01/11/2025 - 0 comments
Although each baby's development varies a bit, it is generally recommended for a baby to get his first taste of solid foods between the ages of 4 and 6 months. Before this age, babies are usually not developmentally ready for solid foods due to the extrusion reflex.
There are some indicators, however, that help determine when an infant is ready for his first solid food. Once a baby can sit up by himself without support, can hold his head and neck up on his own or begins grabbing for solid foods that the parent is eating, he is generally ready to eat them himself.
