How can I submit designs to Ikea?

Ikea has no established means of accepting designs. As of 2014, all Ikea product designs are developed in Älmhult, Sweden. Ikea does host young designer competitions for students in Singapore, with the grand prize including an internship.

Designers interested in working with Ikea have positions open to them in Sweden. Product developers, technicians and editors for Ikea work in Älmhult designing for the total home environment, with an emphasis on customers needs, quality and function. The annual Young Designer Award competition is based in Singapore, and it is open to students of Temasek Polytechnic, Raffles Design Institute and Singapore University of Technology and Design.
