The Mayo Clinic confirms that a successful pregnancy remains possible for men with low sperm counts. Men with low sperm counts can increase their odds of fertilization by engaging in an increased frequency of sex, avoiding the use of sexual lubricants and having sex during their partners' peak fertilization times.
According to the Mayo Clinic, surgery is also a possible solution for men with low sperm counts. Some men will, however, never be able to reproduce. The condition of having a low sperm count is known as oligospermia. In order to have oligospermia, a man must produce no more than 15 million sperm per milliliter of semen.
