The National Association of Social Workers sponsors numerous credentials for social workers including clinical qualifications, such as the Qualified Clinical Social Worker credential, and youth and family qualifications, such as the Certified Children, Youth and Family Social Worker credential. All NASW credentials require degrees in social work.
The Certified Children, Youth and Family Social Worker credential is available to social workers with a bachelor’s degree. An advanced version of this credential is available to social workers with a master’s degree. All clinical social work credentials from the NASW require a master’s degree. A full list of available credentials is available at SocialWorkers.org.
