Changing the screen resolution of a computer in Windows involves clicking on the Start Button, going to Control Panel and selecting Display. On the left side, click Adjust Resolution. The available screen resolutions are listed in the drop-down menu shown.
The screen resolution of a display is the number of pixels used to make up the image. Typically it is listed a width by height, so a resolution of 1080 x 1024 means that the display is 1080 pixels wide and 1024 pixels high. Higher resolutions have higher numbers and images are generally crisper with higher resolutions; however, not all computer graphics cards can display all resolutions.
