Do cheap electric ranges have problems?
By Forinfos - 25/04/2026 - 0 comments
Ranges at all price points can have problems, but cheaper ranges tend to offer fewer features, which means they have fewer parts that can break. Cheap stoves also generally rely on proven components.
More expensive ranges sometimes offer convection cooking. While some people enjoy this feature, it also adds a fan to the stove, which can break. This fan also needs a motor, capacitor and dedicated switch to turn the fan on and off. In addition, expensive ranges are more likely to use state-of-the-art components, which are not as well tested as the types of components typically used in cheaper stoves.
