How do you check your PC's specs?

To check your PC's specifications, go to Settings in the Charms menu in Windows 8. Then click on PC information.

  1. Open the Charms menu

    In Windows 8, open the Charms menu by hovering the mouse over the top right-hand corner of the screen. Windows XP and Windows 7 don't have the Charms menu, so right-click on My Computer.

  2. Choose the Settings option

    In Windows 8, choose the Settings menu option. In Windows 7 and XP, select the Properties option. It might also be called System Properties.

  3. Choose PC information

    In Windows 8, choose PC info in the Settings menu. In Windows 7, click on Systems in the Properties window. In Windows XP, the option is called Computer.
