How do you check a Walmart gift card balance?

There are three ways to check the balance of a Walmart gift card: online, in-store, or by calling 888-537-5503. The 16-digit card number and personal identification number are needed when checking the balance.

If you're a plastic card holder, the card number and PIN can be found on the back of the card. For those who are online card holders, an email is sent to you containing the card number and PIN. Walmart.com can only check a balance for a card that has a PIN. If you have a card that does not have a PIN, you cannot check your balance, but you can go to your local Walmart or Sam's Club and trade it in for a card with a PIN. However, a card without a PIN can be used at a Walmart store.
