Does the Chevy Equinox get good gas mileage?

The 2015 Chevrolet Equinox achieves EPA-rated gas mileage efficiency ratings similar to that of other vehicles in its class. However, some independent sources have found that the real-world mileage of the Equinox is usually not as high as the EPA estimates indicate.

The gas mileage of the Chevrolet Equinox varies depending on the engine and drivetrain of a particular vehicle. Four-cylinder engines paired with front-wheel drive can achieve up to 32 mpg in highway driving, while an Equinox with the optional V-6 engine and four-wheel drive gets only 23 mpg on the highway. Using E85 fuel rather than gasoline also lowers the Equinox's effective gas mileage.
