A Chromebook is a laptop computer first introduced by Google in 2011 that uses the Chrome OS as its operating system. Google Chromebook is designed to be used primarily while connected to the Internet and stores most of its data in the cloud.
Google Chromebook was initially released to slow sales and underwhelming reviews due to its limited capabilities. In 2014, Google announced a partnership with Nvidia to release the Acer Chromebook 13, which is the first laptop to feature Nvidia's Tegra K1 processor. This new version of Chromebook features more than twice the battery life of other top-selling laptops.
