How do you clear a Safari search history?

To clear your search history in Safari, open the History drop-down menu, and click on Clear History. It is also possible to clear individual entries on the history list without wiping the entire list.

1. Open the History menu

   With Safari open, click on the History drop-down menu to open it.

2. Click on Clear History

   Clicking on Clear History clears your search history and also empties the browser cache, clears the recent search list and removes website icons.

3. Reset Top Sites if desired

   For further privacy, click on Also Reset Top Sites before you confirm by checking Clear to wipe your entire search history.
