Consistent winners in college football include Alabama, Ohio State and Notre Dame. As of 2015, the three programs rank among the winningest of all time and have won more national championships than any other schools since the beginning of the Poll era, which dates back to 1936.

The Alabama Crimson Tide's resume includes at least 25 SEC titles and 10 national championships -- including three in four years from 2009 to 2012. The Buckeyes boast at least eight national championships and 35 Big Ten titles. Notre Dame entered 2016 with the highest all-time winning percentage in major college football -- .734 -- and eight national titles in program history.
