Cyan is located at a midpoint between blue and green on the color wheel. The complementary color of cyan, because of its location on the color wheel, is red. Mixing property intensities of cyan and red on a blank background produces white. Similarly, the removal of the color red from white light produces cyan. The wavelength of cyan is between 490 and 520 nanometers.
