Are there colored contacts available for patients with astigmatism?

There are colored toric contacts available for people with an astigmatism, according to the Free Contact Lenses Guide. However, some people with astigmatisms that are very bad may not be able to wear colored lenses or any contacts for that matter.
People with an astigmatism can have difficulty with contact lenses when they blink because the lens can shift. Eyes with an astigmatism are football shaped rather than round, and that is why special contacts are needed for this condition. With any toric lens, it is always best to try a trial pair first to make sure they are comfortable. Request a trial pair of colored lenses before buying them, and always consult an optometrist before changing lenses.
