What are some common lower denture problems?

Gum and mouth irritation, difficulty in eating, and issues with speaking are common lower denture problems. Many people also face problems with loose dentures in the mouth and infection of the lower gums.

Getting used to new dentures takes time and discomfort while initially wearing them is quite common. Chewing food, especially hard food, can be quite painful. Also, ill-fitting dentures may accidentally fall out while speaking, and some may find a foreign body in the mouth an irritant. Other problems also include inflamed gums, unclear speech and, in worst cases, infections due to poor hygiene or injury to the gums.
