Conditions that consist of ringing in ears and dizziness are Meniere's disease and labyrinthitis, according to the Mayo Clinic and MedlinePlus. Meniere's disease is a chronic disease that usually afflicts people in middle age.
Other symptoms of Meniere's disease are nausea, vomiting, intermittent hearing loss that may become permanent and a feeling of fullness in the ear, says Mayo Clinic.
Labyrinthitis is caused by either a viral or bacterial infection in the inner ear, says MedlinePlus. It is often a complication of a cold, the flu or an ear infection. Drugs and allergies can also trigger labyrinthitis.
