As of 2015, the Southeastern Conference has the most players currently in the NFL. The conference is comprised of Alabama, Auburn, Arkansas, LSU, Ole Miss, Mississippi State Texas A&M, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Missouri, South Carolina, Tennessee and Vanderbilt.

'Pro-Football-Reference' roster data indicates that 1,947 players representing 256 colleges appeared during the 2012 season. Of them, 329 came from the Southeastern Conference - roughly 16.9 percent. A conference-record 63 SEC players were selected in the following year's NFL Draft.

Of the top 200 NFL players in ESPN's 2014 preseason player rankings, 46, which is nearly one quarter, attended an SEC school.
