How do you convert polar coordinates to rectangular coordinates?

There are two formulas to convert polar coordinates to rectangular coordinates. The cosine of the angle times the radius determines the rectangular x-coordinate, and the sine of the angle times the radius determines the rectangular y-coordinate.
While the x and y values of rectangular coordinates are based on the distance of the point from each axis, the first value of polar coordinates is based on the radius of a circle between said point and the point (0, 0). The second value is based on the degrees of the angle measured counter-clockwise from x-axis in the first quadrant.
Rectangular coordinates are also known as Cartesian coordinates.
