What is a conveyor toaster?

A conveyor toaster is an appliance used to toast bread, buns or bagels. They are commonly seen in delis, bagel shops and other food service environments where the ability to toast a high volume of bread is needed.

Instead of using slots, as in a home toaster, bagels, buns or slices of bread are placed on a moving conveyor. The conveyor carries the slices back into the machine where they toast. Once toasted, they slide off the conveyor and can be retrieved from either the front or rear of the machine. The continuous operation of the toaster allows for a high volume of toasted bread or bagels to be produced. Many models can toast one or both sides as desired.
