What is the correct cooking temperature for a meatloaf?

The correct temperature for baking a meatloaf in a pan measuring 8 inches by 4 inches is 350 degrees Fahrenheit. The meatloaf bakes for approximately one to 1 1/2 hours or until its internal temperature reaches 170 degrees Fahrenheit for beef meatloaves or 185 degrees Fahrenheit for pork meatloaves.
Experts recommend adding 1/2 cup of filler for every pound of meat used in a meatloaf. Bread crumbs, wet slices of bread, oat bran, and grated carrots or potatoes are common fillers. Allowing the meatloaf to stand for 20 minutes or more after taking it out of the oven gives the meatloaf time to rest and makes slicing easier.
